Sel is is data-driven and human-centric in crafting solutions.
Previously, in her role as a Product Manager at Dealls (job-seeking & mentoring), Sel steered project sprints, ensuring punctual product rollouts, adept stakeholder management, and designing personalization algorithms using real-time data and user insights. Before that, at Finku (fintech), she was deriving and executing strategies for marketing product enhancement strategies, all aligning with her commitment to product and business excellence.
Now on sabbatical, Sel focuses on societal contributions, notably in education and mental health. She volunteers with 1000 Guru Jakarta, aiding countryside children, and collaborates with Mengenal Diri, supporting Indonesian youth in self-discovery.
Outside professional commitments, Sel thrives in fostering team camaraderie through gatherings and bonding activities, indulges in voice-over opportunities, and maintains a reading and journaling routine.

Background Story
In 2020, a canceled Kyoto exchange turned into an opportunity as I became the head of entrepreneurship. This role enabled me to empower peers with access to self-development programs, fostering an environment where they could freely express their ideas. One of the initiatives I'm particularly proud of is HBS. Furthermore, during this time, I secured partnerships with IPOT (an investment platform) and a certified financial consultants.
The following year, in 2021, I undertook my first internship at an emerging fintech startup, Finku. Here, I collaborated closely with 2 of the co-founders, Reinaldo & Shylla, focusing on ideation for promotional activities, pinpointing potential users, and framing recommendations for product iterations. A highlight from this stint was my endeavor to revamp the onboarding process, emphasizing the robustness of our security system and the minimal risk of data breaches.
Subsequent to my time at Finku, I was drawn to Dealls, Indonesia's leading job & mentorship platform, driven by personal experiences that highlighted the importance of mentorship, transparency, and guidance in career progression. At Dealls, I was immersed in a dynamic team environment, delving deep into product delivery and understanding development from the technical team's viewpoint.
My notable project was on defining algorithms to enhance the job matching process. This optimization ensured job seekers spent less time on irrelevant listings, while employers were matched with the most suitable candidates.
Both experiences taught me a lot. At Finku, I encountered mentors who shaped my understanding of data analysis, fostering a data-driven decision-making mindset. In contrast, Dealls exposed me to a myriad of business challenges and customer feedback in a fast-paced delivery setting. This dual exposure equipped me with a practical perspective on potential business growth and user experience.
Currently, I'm on a brief sabbatical, using this time to reassess my life's direction and priorities. I'm actively participating in activities that hone my logical and critical thinking skills. Additionally, I'm deeply involved in volunteering, with a focus on education and mental health promotions.
As I navigate this phase, I remain open to compelling opportunities where I can add value, lead transformative initiatives, and leverage advanced tools for personalization to drive product excellence and business growth.

Engaging in hands-on, interactive classes brings me immense joy—be it Shibori, flower making, painting, pottery, or just spontaneously decorating various objects. A big part of my fascination with these activities is how they often provide insights into Indonesia's rich culture and the stories behind each piece of art. Every piece of artwork tells a unique and beautiful story 💡

While I cherish the serenity of lush greens and vast skies, I've always felt a deeper connection to the beach over mountainous terrains. The tranquility and allure of the ocean hold a special place in my heart. I'm setting my sights on obtaining a diving license by the end of 2024. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Admittedly, sports might not be my strongest suit! Still, I'm committed to maintaining an active lifestyle. I've set a goal to walk at least 5K every day. Swimming is another passion, although my colored hair currently keeps me at bay! 😅
